Quick answer
The basic dynamic load rating supports a bearing life calculation under defined conditions. The basic static load rating addresses permanent deformation under static or very slow conditions. Neither value is a universal safe operating load, and equal-size bearings can have different ratings.
Use the right rating
Separate the operating load case from static peaks, shock loads and the desired life. Radial and thrust bearing ratings refer to different load directions.
Keep speed conditions attached
A grease speed and an oil speed are not interchangeable. Temperature, lubrication, fits, seals and the actual operating arrangement can limit the usable speed.
Compare the full designation
Use the rating for the exact manufacturer, design and variant. Reference values in this catalog retain their original source and are not certified SANJ performance claims.
